Charismatic Aged Broodmares

I truly believe that some horses know I'm there to immortalize their spirit for eternity -- Tiger & Lynette are two of these horses. These gals are older (25 & 27, respectively) but they still have quite a spark in their eye. Lynette especially has a "je ne sais quoi" or "certain something" about her. I guess you'd call it presence.

They are both by the famous broodmare sire Tiger Leo. Their owner JD simply wanted some quality images that captured their sweet personalities, great conformation, and beautiful movement. When I showed him the proofs, he said the images made him so emotional, he nearly wanted to cry. He's not exactly what I'd call an über-sensitive guy either. ;)

First Glimpse - Video Clip

I have very exciting news!!! My mare Daisy is confirmed in foal to Salto! First try too, which is even more impressive, as she's a maiden mare at 10 and he's 19. But Salto is still one of the most fertile studs they collect, so that doesn't surprise me.

Daisy is a twin and threw 2 follicles herself, so we were a little worried both may catch. Salto's fertility is both a blessing and a hindrance in this case. But according to the 15 day ultrasound, everything is all good. This is the first foal I've bred, so you can imagine how exciting the experience is!
