JD & Lynette, Part 2

These were taken at the beginning of the month, just haven't had a chance to post them yet.

Here's JD & Lynette again, his favorite broodmare. This was a total impromptu shoot, as I came up there to do some video and it was too wet in the ring from all the random rain we were having.

My Mark II was in the shop, but thankfully I brought the backup, my old D60. I haven't really shot with that since I got "The Beast" in April, so it was a little odd to do an entire shoot with it.

But it pulled thru for me and we captured some lovely images. Lynette is such a good old gal - she was happy to graze "naked" in the front yard, no halter or anything.

His 2 mares are totally retired and will be leaving to stay with a friend for the remainder of their lives, so this was kinds of a bittersweet shoot, a sad goodbye...

Angel Eyes & Rubio

Another shoot from last weekend. Angel Eyes is the Paint with the gorgeous blue eyes, and Rubio is the photogenic Saddlebred. These were taken at Sandhills, where I board my horses.

The photos of Angel Eyes are for the promotion of an upcoming men's cologne and Rubio's photos will be placed on custom products which will then be sold to benefit other Saddlebreds, in the form of rescues & adoptions.

Loving the great sunsets AZ has been having lately!

Sambuca

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this Salto colt!

From last weekend - I'll let the photos speak for themselves. :)

Here's a quick video clip that Kristen (Salto's owner) shot before the batteries gave out. Lori, Sammy's owner, put this together:
